Jane E. Kohler, 98, of Shippensburg, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at home. She was born on July 26, 1919 in Bloserville, and was a daughter of the late Samuel A. and Irene (Barrick) Myers and was the widow of Robert A. "Potty" Kohler who passed away on August 7, 1999.

Jane retired from the former Kinney Shoe Factory in Carlisle.

She is survived by two sons; Donald and Harry Hippensteel, both of Shippensburg, three daughters; Joyce Hippensteel of Arlington, AZ, Karen Wileman of Shippensburg and Patricia Kohler of Oakridge, TN, one sister, Janice Myers of Newville, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by five sons; Jimmy, Marlin, Sonny, Gary and James Hippensteel, two daughters; Mary Stum and Catherine Hippensteel, two sisters; Alta Devor and Betty Beamer, one brother, Curtis Myers and one great-grandson, Jeremy Gardner.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St, Carlisle, with Pastor Ken Waggoner, Jr. officiating.
