James H. Wileman, 87, of Carlisle, passed away on July 12, 2024, at Carlisle Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on May 9, 1937, in Walnut, Juniata Co., to the late James T. Wileman and Susan (Bell) Wileman.  James was the widower of Alice E. (Sheaffer) Wileman, who passed away April 4, 2008.

James was a U.S. Army veteran and served from 1955 to 1957.  James retired after 37 years of service with Roadway Express.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles #1299, American Legion of Mt. Holly Springs Post 674, and the Shippensburg Moose #2500.

James is survived by his three sons, Daryl Wileman of Shippensburg, Darwin Wileman of St. Thomas, and Dwayne Wileman of Carlisle, and four sisters, Maxine Whistler of Carlisle, Dot Cramer of Shermans Dale, Madeline Fahnestock of Scotland and Darlene Dupert of East Berlin, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by one brother George Wileman.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home 630 S. Hanover St. Carlisle, PA. with Pastor Randy Zook officiating.  The burial will be at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle with military honors by Cumberland County Honor Guard.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
