James E. Keck, 77, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his daughter's home in Mechanicsburg.  He was born on July 8, 1946, in Newville and was a son of the late Henry J. Keck and Margaret (McCommons) Keck Miller.

Jim received his G.E.D. from Big Spring High School.  He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.  Jim retired after many years of service with C. H. Masland & Sons and Lear Corporation in Carlisle.  He was a member of Carlisle Eagles Aerie 1299.

He is survived by one son John H. (wife Kathy) Keck of St. Thomas, PA, one daughter Kelley J. (husband Michael) Leone of Mechanicsburg, two sisters, Ella Hockenberry and Mary Fenicle, both of Carlisle, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Jim was preceded in death by one brother John C. Keck and one sister Nancy Page.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Inc., 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle.  Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery with honors.  www.Since1853.com.
