James G. Ellerman, 89, of Carlisle, died on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Thornwald Home in Carlisle.  He was born on May 1, 1934, in Carlisle and was a son of the late William A. Ellerman and Maryetta (Rice) Ellerman.

Jim graduated in 1952 from Carlisle High School and retired after many years of service with Sprint Telephone, Carlisle.  He was the vehicle travel administrator.  Jim was a US Army veteran having served from 1956 to 1958.  He was a member of the Carlisle United Methodist Church, the V.F.W. Post, and the American Legion Post both of Mt. Holly Springs.  Jim enjoyed collecting antiques and gardening.

He is survived by one nephew Dean (Gail) Ellerman, Jr. of Navarre, FL, one niece Linda (Fred) Spease of Carlisle, great-nieces and nephews, Dr. Angela Ellerman (Kenneth) Tennant, Keith (Trudi) Ellerman, Julie (Michael) Muhr and Eric (Saria) Spease, great-great-nephews and nieces, Grady Ellerman, Cole Ellerman, Evan Tennant, Logan Tennant, Madelyn Muhr, JD Muhr, Maya Spease and Travis Spease.  Jim was preceded in death by one brother Dean Ellerman, Sr.
