Jacqueline "Jackie" J. Peters, 79, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center with loving family and friends by her side. She was born on February 6, 1938 in Carlisle, and was a daughter of the late Daniel W. Peters, Jr. and Elizabeth I. (Weidner) Peters.

Jackie was a 1955 graduate of Carlisle High School. She retired after 30 years of service with Carlisle Container Co. and was employed with the former Carlisle Poultry & Egg Co. for 14 years. Jackie loved to play Bingo, loved people and would help anyone who was in need.

Jackie is survived by her three devoted sisters; Nancy J. Lehman, Dannette "Danny" E. Miller and Cathy S. Shoemaker, all of Carlisle and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St, Carlisle, with Pastor Keith Adams officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. www.Since1853.com
