Obituary

Jacob A. Stimeling, 72, of Carlisle, died Sunday, February 3, 2013, at his home. He was born on January 1, 1941, in Carlisle, a son of the late Roy E. and Margaret (Heberlig) Stimeling.

Jake served in the US Army and formerly worked in construction, at the former Bedford Shoe Co. and was also a car salesman. He was a member of the Eagles, VFW, AmVets, White Circle and American Legion, all of Carlisle.

He is survived by a daughter, Denise Fakis of Indiana, two sons; Jake Fealtman, Newville and Steve Fealtman, Carlisle, three brothers; Paul, Jerry and Jim Stimeling, all of Florida, three sisters; Naomi Krom, Carlisle, Retta Williams of Florida and Mary McCoy of Delaware, 7 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, including Lonnie McKillip of Carlisle. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Fealtman, a daughter, Barbie Stimeling, his twin brother, Joseph Stimeling and sisters; Darlene Jones and Phyllis Kane.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Gary Zigner officiating. Burial will be private. A visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Ewing Brothers Funeral Home to help the family with Jake's final expenses.
