Jackie A. Kaltenbaugh, 74, of Newville, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at UPMC Carlisle.  He was born on January 2, 1950, in Petersburg, WV and was a son of the late Jack W. Kaltenbaugh and Wanda E. (Henry) Kaltenbaugh. He was married to his wife Camilla A. (Bear) Kaltenbaugh for 52 years.

Jackie graduated from Big Spring High School with the Class of 1969. He worked at the Bedford and Kinney Shoe Factories, and as a salesman at Morrison Auto Sales, Carlisle.  Jackie was a life member of the Newville Friendship Fire and Hose Company 47.

In addition to his wife, Jackie is survived by two nephews, James Bittinger and Harlan Bittinger, and one great nephew Dustin Bittinger. He was preceded in death by a daughter Amanda L. Kaltenbaugh, two brothers, Carson and Emmett Kaltenbaugh, and one sister Roxie Bittinger.

Funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Richard Reese officiating.  A viewing will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the services.  The burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
