Heni-Iris Kaye, 60, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2010, in Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle. She was born on Wednesday, December 14, 1949, in Montreal, Canada and was a daughter of the late David and Beatrice (Rosner) Finkelstein.

Heni was a retired school teacher with over 30 years of service with the Harrisburg Schools, where she taught the fourth grade. She received her Master's degree in education from the Sarah Lawrence College in Manhattan, NY.

She is survived by a daughter, Tammi L. (and her husband, Michael) Stamy of Carlisle, two sons; Ian C. (and his wife, Renee) Sorkin of Carlisle and Adam M. (and his wife, Christie) Sorkin of Lemoyne, six grandchildren; Ian Sorkin, Christian Sorkin, Taylor Sorkin, Cassidy Sorkin, Destiny Stamy and Raven Stamy.

Memorial services to celebrate Heni's life will be held at 2:00 pm on August 19, 2010 in the Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 1000 Claremont Rd., Carlisle, with Chaplain Hugh Foshee, officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
