Helen retired from the former Blough and Wagner Dress Factory and had also worked at the former C. H. Masland & Sons, both of Carlisle. Helen was a seamstress for many years. She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle. Helen enjoyed cooking, quilting, the outdoors and fishing.

She is survived by one sister, Ruth Thumma of Carlisle and many nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by brothers; Walter, Russell, Charles, Raymond, Arthur, Thomas and Frank Mackey and sisters; Viola Kramer and Edna Heller.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Timothy Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
