Helen was a loving and devoted wife and homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Junior L. Benson, three sons; Robert Benson of Peyton, CO, James (and his wife, Linda) Benson of Newville, Lee (and his wife, Mary) Benson of Harrisburg, three daughters; Debbie Montine of York Haven, Diane (and her husband, James) Blaine of New Bloomfield and Hazel Bouder of Carlisle, one sister, Ruth Heverling of Shippensburg, eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by a half-sister, Genevieve, one brother, Wilmer Scott and one great-granddaughter, Hope Snyder.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at 2 p.m., in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Chaplain Bradley V. Moore officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until time of the services.
