Hazel E. Brown, 74, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle. She was born April 13, 1941 in Shermans Dale, Perry County, a daughter of the late Lester R. and Olive R. (Fenicle) Brown.

Hazel graduated from Cumberland Valley High School in 1960. She had worked at the Heishman Restaurant, Howard Johnson Restaurant and the Ross Dress Factory. Hazel loved to play Bingo, word puzzles and going to festivals. She formerly attended Middlesex United Methodist Church, Carlisle.

She is survived by one sister, Bonnie L. (husband, Roger) McKeehan of Carlisle, one brother, Robert L. (wife, Pat) Brown of Mechanicsburg, three nieces; Lauren, Leslie and Tricia, one nephew, Timothy, grandnieces; Rochelle and Kirsten, grandnephews; Kyle and Koty, one aunt, Arlene Fenicle and many cousins.

A viewing will begin at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015 followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Arlene Dunn officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Flowers are welcome or memorial gifts in Hazel's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
