Obituary

Harold Warren Morrison, 95, of Shermans Dale, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024.  He was born on November 24, 1928, in Shermans Dale and was the son of the late Warren and Helen (Adams) Morrison.  Harold was preceded in death by his wife Patricia A. ( McAllister) Morrison on April 17, 2020.

Harold was also known as "Pork" from his early high school football days.  Harold graduated high school at age 16 and went on to graduate from Central Penn College and earned an accounting degree at age 18.  Harold played the violin and played in the Harrisburg City Orchestra during the fifties.  Harold in his early career  was a Territory Salesman for Graybar Electric, he and wife Pat lived in Youngstown, Ohio for several years.  After leaving Gray Bar Electric, they moved back to the Shermans Dale area, built their home and he took a position with Moore's Building Supplies as a Store Operations Manager.  After retirement from Moore's Building Supplies, Harold worked part-time for Shermans Dale Home and Auto.  Harold enjoyed singing and belonged to the Carolinian Barbershop chorus  and Harrisburg Barbershop Chorus and was a member of several quartet groups during his singing years as well.  Harold was a life-time member of the Freemasons of Pennsylvania and attended and supported Adams Lodge # 319 in New Bloomfield, Pa.  Harold spent many hours fishing and hunting with his grandson and great-grandsons. He enjoyed assisting the Fish commission in stocking various Perry County Streams "so he always knew where the big ones were"!  He attended and was a member of Mt. Gilead Methodist Church, Shermans Dale and enjoyed singing in their choir.

Surviving are his daughter Helen Latchford and husband Greg of Shermans Dale, grandchildren Jennifer Celesky of Marysville and Troy Latchford of Landisburg, four great-grandsons, Skyler Latchford of Landisburg, Justice James of Harrisburg and Colton and Gunner Celesky of Marysville.

A graveside service in addition to a Masonic service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2024, in Young's United Methodist Church Cemetery in Shermans Dale.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
