Gwendolyn P. Lewin, 88, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024, at UPMC Carlisle.  She was born on April 29, 1935, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Allen V. Evans and Christine (Cornman) Evans.

Gwen graduated from Carlisle High School in 1953.  She retired from The Four Seasons (Post Exchange) at Fort Dix, New Jersey.

She is survived by two daughters, Lani Ann Williams of Florida, Denise Maxine Barner of New Jersey, one son Shawn Michael Lewin of New Jersey, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one son Allen Theodore Lewin, one daughter Dawn Pauline Brewster and her former husband William Edward Lewin who died Feb. 14, 1986.

A viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St, Carlisle, PA 17013 with Rev. Richard Reese officiating.  The burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
