Ed attended Carlisle High School and worked in construction most of his life as a drywall finisher.

He is survived by one son, Joshua E. (wife, Vanessa) Davis of Carlisle, two daughters; Heather M. (companion, Chad Cason) Shunk of Millerstown and Shauna (husband, Daniel) Wright of Newport, one sister, Anita "Lynn" Davis of Carlisle and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Steven Craig Davis.
