Glenn A. Gow

Glenn A. Gow, 78, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, October 30, 2026, at UPMC Carlisle. He was born on August 25, 1948, in Greenville, PA and was the son of the late Glenn R. Gow and Joan L. (Osborn) Gow. He was married to the late Karen (Richards) Gow, who passed away on May 4, 2012.

Glenn graduated in 1966 from Commodore Perry High School in Hadley, PA. In 1970, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education, followed by a master’s degree in School Administration, with a minor in Math and Physics, from Edinboro University in 1972. Glenn began his career as a schoolteacher in Cambridge Springs before moving into school administration in Athens, PA, and later with the Big Spring School District. He was a member of The Meeting House church in Carlisle and enjoyed woodworking.

Glenn is survived by his daughter, Angela J. Groman of York; his sister, Marsha L. Pierce of Brunswick, GA; his four grandsons, Wyatt, Kyle, Myles, and Ryan Groman; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Aaron Gow, and his brother, Gerald Gow.

Glenn was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

A viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2026, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at The Meeting House, 1155 Walnut Bottom Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013. Rev.
