Gladys R. Mixell, 93, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at home with family by her side.  She was born on August 25, 1931, in Duncannon and was the daughter of the late Luther Alonza Lebo and Rebecca (Crumleigh) Lebo.

Gladys retired from Carlisle Tire and Rubber after 31 years of service.  She was a past member of Second Presbyterian Church, Carlisle.  Gladys was an avid Bingo player.

She is survived by her children, Susan Moose of Newburg, John (Alma) Mixell of Carlisle, Kenneth (Sonya) Mixell of Carlisle, Judy (Karl) Lehman of Newville and Richard (Barb) Mixell of Carlisle, her companion of 55 years, William "Brownie" Brown of Carlisle and her beloved Boston Terrier "Gabby".  Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John A. Mixell who died in 1968, one daughter Brenda Mixell, three great-granddaughters, Amber, Ariel and Kaydi Coover and two brothers, David and James Lebo.

A private viewing will be held at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle with a private burial at LeTort Cemetery, Carlisle.
