Geraldine E. (Shughart) Gladhill, 96, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Thornwald Home, Carlisle.  She was born on August 15, 1928, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Elmer Shughart and Mary (Cruell) Shughart.  She was the widow of Lawrence W. "Larry" Gladhill who passed away on March 17, 2008.

Geraldine was a loving homemaker.  She enjoyed traveling, crocheting dish clothes and making peanut brittle for friends and family at Christmas time.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Nelson and George Shughart and one sister Gladys Brehm.

A visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2024, followed by a short prayer service at 2:15 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle.  Father Chiedozie F. Ononuju will be the officiant. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, North Middleton Township.  www.Since1853.com.
