Gerald Nicholas
Putz
Oct 27, 1950 — Jun 19, 2026
Gerald (Nick) Putz, 75, of Carlisle, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026. He was born in Wyandotte, Michigan and son of the late Nicholas and Eleanor Putz.
Nick was an alumnus of Michigan State University and was currently employed as a business manager for Maximus in Harrisburg.
He was such a loving husband to his wife of 54 years, a warm and caring father to his four children and adored spending time with his six grandchildren. Family was so important to Nick and he will be remembered for the time he spent with family creating lasting memories. He enjoyed camping, hiking, traveling, dancing, reading, and was a lifelong lover of music and Detroit Tigers fan.
…I was thinking about what time people have on this earth and what it all means…Sometimes I do and sometimes I fall short but generally hope I am on the positive side. But I did learn that time cannot be saved, only spent. Choose how you spend your time wisely.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Putz, two sons, Brian Putz of Washington D.C. and Steven Putz of Carlisle, PA, two daughters, Melisa (husband Thomas) Clark of Bennington, VT and Laura (husband Micah) Paxson of Chambersburg, PA, one sister Janice (husband Ron) Raade of Stevensville, MI, and his loving grandchildren Vivienne, Edyn, Mira, Annalise, Abby and Garrett.
…I like that feeling of keeping my body in silence and stillness. Sometimes I think of specific things and sometimes I just let my mind wander…See if the silence and stillness can help you achieve calmness and then listen to what your mind tells you.
