Obituary

George Albert "Ash" Kutz, 74, of Carlisle, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at ManorCare Health Services, Carlisle. He was born on Feb. 26, 1941 in Carlisle and is the son of Miriam "Mimi" (Miller) Kutz ofCarlisle and the late George A. Kutz.

Ash was a 1959 graduate of Carlisle High School and earned his business degree from Southeastern University in Hammond, LA. He was the owner of the former Kutz Printing Inc., Carlisle. On October 24, 1981, Ash married Peggy Thomas in New Orleans, LA, and they remained happily married for 34 years. He was a big P.S.U. football fan and was a former President of the Carlisle Penn State Booster Club. Ash was also a longtime member of the Carlisle Elks Lodge, the Old Town Run Mountain Lodge, Carlisle Exchange Club and the Carlisle Rotary Club. He was a former board member of the American Red Cross, Carlisle. Ash was a charming, funny and kind man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy A. (Thomas) Kutz, his stepchildren; Lisbeth G. Jackson and Landon G. Moncada, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are nephews; Todd Melisauskas and Christopher Staniar and niece Tiffany Moll. Ash was predeceased by two sisters; Sandra Ann Kutz and Jan Adams Kutz and one step-son, Lucas G. Moncada.

Services to celebrate Ash's life will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Richard Reese officiating. Interment will be private. A visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until time of the services. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request memorial donations be made to the American Red Cross, 79 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
