Galen C. Myers, 92, of Newville, passed away on March 28, 2019 at UPMC-Carlisle.  He was born on March 28, 1927 in Dickinson Twp., Cumberland County and was a son of the late Clifford I. and Leah E. (Whistler) Myers.  Galen was married to the late Grace L. (Mullen) Myers who passed away on Dec. 25, 2017.

Galen graduated from Carlisle High School with the Class of 1945.  He was a US Army veteran of WWII.  He retired from Roadway Express after 15 years of service and was a former letter carrier with the Carlisle Post Office.  Galen enjoyed operating a Gentleman's Farm in Penn Twp.

He is survived by one son, Donald (wife, Kathy) Myers of Newville, three daughters; Linda K. Myers of Carlisle, Barbara L. Myers and Susan Marie Myers, both of Boiling Springs, two sisters; Miriam Huffman of Chambersburg and Velma Pfleiderer of IN, one grandson, Eric Myers and three great-grandchildren; Madison, Evan and Lillie.  Galen was preceded in death by one grandson, Jamie Keck, one brother, Alvin Myers and one sister, Lois Alwood.

A viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev.
