Frederick D. Carbaugh, 73, of Carlisle, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 8, 2016 at West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg. He was born on June 10, 1943 in Carlisle, and was a son of the late Harold S. and Ada (Warner) Carbaugh.

Fred retired from Frog and Switch Manufacturing in Carlisle after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of the Christian Life Community Church, Newville.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Judy B. (Morris) Carbaugh, one son, Rick Carbaugh and one daughter, Tina Hughes, both of Carlisle, one sister, June Barclay of Mechanicsburg, one great-granddaughter, Raylee Roberts and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one granddaughter, Alisha Cromer, two brothers; Richard and Marlin Carbaugh and two sisters, Winifred Motter and Irene Carbaugh.
