Obituary

Floyd L. Ewing, Sr., 69, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Claremont Nursing Home, Carlisle.  He was born on November 19, 1952, in Carlisle and was a son of the late Lester Ewing and Mildred (Enck) Ewing.

Floyd graduated from Boiling Springs High School with the class of 1971.  He was skilled in forklift driving and repair and worked as a supervisor for several warehouses in the area.  Floyd operated a sales booth at the Williams Grove Flea Market for many years.  After retirement, Floyd worked part-time for Haar's Auction in Dillsburg.  Floyd's passion was John Deere tractors and auctions.  He was a member of the Churchtown Church of God and the Williams Grove Historical Steam Engine Association.

He is survived by his children, Amy Ewing of Camp Hill and Floyd L. Ewing, Jr. and wife Ashley of Enola, his siblings, Shirley Bretz of Carlisle, Sylvia Troutman and husband Glen of Carlisle, Pauline Mentzer and husband Charles of Mechanicsburg, Mary Hoon of Carlisle and Dale Ewing and wife Cindy of Gardners, his grandchildren, Cheyenne Ickes, Daniel Ickes, Kinsley Ewing, Rilyn Ewing, Cambrie Ewing and Colson Ewing and many nieces and nephews and his best friend Rick Lubnow.
