Evelyn J. Seibel, 92, of Newville, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Forest Park Health Center in Carlisle.  She was born on March 17, 1930, in Smicksburg, PA and was the daughter of the late Clair Orin Stear and Thelma (Wagner) Stear.  She was the widow of Leonard J. "Lee" Seibel.

Evelyn was a high school graduate.  She was a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church in Carlisle.

She is survived by two sons; Gary Lee (and his wife, Catherine) Seibel of Newville and Gregory Alan (and his wife, Colleen) Seibel of Shippensburg, her grandchildren; Garrett Lee Seibel, Heather Ann Seibel Schwartzmiller, Carlee Lynn Seibel Arndt, Evan A. Stone and Elizabeth A. Stone and four great-grandchildren.  Evelyn was preceded in death by her brother Donald Stear.

A viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022, followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Anthony Lorenz officiating.  Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 2A N. Hanover St., Carlisle or to The Salvation Army, 20 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
