Evelyn M. Hefflefinger, 95, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Green Ridge Village, Newville. She was born on December 30, 1921 in Lumberville, and was a daughter of the late Godfrey Franklin Feiler and Edith (Updegrove) Feiler and was the widow of Edwin E. Hefflefinger, who passed away on March 7, 2005.

Evelyn graduated from the New Hope High School. She was a loving homemaker and a member of the Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church, Carlisle. Evelyn enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons; Edwin E. (wife, Denise) Hefflefinger of Champion, Pa. and Dwayne E. (wife, Lucretia) Hefflefinger of Carlisle, one sister, Edith Baker of Rosemont, NJ, four grandchildren; Brian, Bradley, Logan Ann and Tanner Hefflefinger, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters; Blanche Mayer, Florence Dobron, Marion Dobron and one brother, Frank Feiler, Jr.

A viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Barbara Albert officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. www.Since1853.com .
