Evelyn J. Boggess, 73, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 in Harrisburg Hospital.  She was born on March 28, 1946 in Lakewood, NJ and was a daughter of the late Zigman L. Winiavski, Sr. and Evelyn J. (Tilley) Winiavski.  She was the widow of James "Jimmy" Edward Boggess, Sr. who passed away on January 6, 2015.

Evelyn retired from New Jersey's Pemberton School District after many years in food service.  She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 7530 – Mechanicsburg.

She is survived by two sons; Edward J. Boggess of Carlisle and Tom W. (wife, Cindy) of Browns Mills, NJ, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters, two brothers; Richard Winiavski of Carlisle and Johnny Winiavski of FL, one sister, Carol Roth of Jacksonville, FL and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one son, James E. Boggess, Jr.

A viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2019 followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Walt Frankenberry officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery.  www.Since1853.com
