Eugene L. Marconi Jr., 54, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at home. He was born on Monday, November 12, 1956, in Blakely. He was a son of the late Eugene L., Sr. and Mary C. (Shoup) Marconi.

Eugene was a 1974 graduate of Carlisle High School and was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Carlisle. He enjoyed playing and walking with "man's best friends", his two dogs; Mona and Mia. He was a very creative man and his talents touched many people.

Surviving are a sister, Denise L. (and husband, Thomas) Kurr of Boiling Springs, a brother, Robert G. Marconi of Mechanicsburg and two nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Carlisle, 100 E. High St., Carlisle, with Rev. Charles A. Brophy officiating. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to: First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Carlisle, 21 S. Bedford St., Carlisle, PA 17013. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of arrangements.
