Esther R. Brandt, 96, formerly of Boiling Springs, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017 in Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle. She was born on December 11, 1920 in Mt. Holly Springs, and was a daughter of the late John P. and Mary E. (Kuhn) Harry and the widow of Lawrence E. Brandt, who passed away March 15, 2001.

Esther was a loving homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Carole Kay (husband, Bill) Tanger of Carlisle, one son, Jack L. (wife, Jean) Brandt of Carlisle and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Esther was preceded in death by two sons; Thomas R. Brandt and Donald E. Brandt, three brothers; Mervin, Paul and Robert Harry and three sisters; Kathryn Tucker, Patricia Goodyear and Greta Weigle.

In honoring Esther's wish, services and burial will be private with Pastor Dick Warner officiating. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. www.Since1853.com .
