IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edwin John
Tobash
November 22, 1950 – May 23, 2022
Edwin John Tobash, Jr. of Carlisle, Pennsylvania passed away in the loving care of his wife and compassionate tending of the staff at Select Specialty Hospital – Camp Hill on Monday, May 23, 2022, after struggling with chronic health issues for the majority of his life. He was 71 years old. Born in Greenville, PA to John and Louise Tobash, Ed graduated from Reynolds High School where he was voted 'most likely to succeed'. He gained his bachelor's degree from Pennsylvania State University- Capital Campus in electrical engineering, a major he selected because he said it was the most difficult of the engineering degrees. For over 35 years he was an engineer at the Naval Sea Logistics Center (NSLC) in Mechanicsburg, PA where he worked on a wide-range of projects related to the engineering needs, integrated logistic support and quality assurance of our U.S. fleet.
A kind and loving soul, Ed loved music, nature, birds, and sunsets. From a young age he had a passion for classic cars—from his first 1969 Chevy Camaro, an Indianapolis 500 pace-car, to his black corvette.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 31 years, Karen Tobash and his in-laws Joseph and Ann Marie Kozell of Carlisle, PA, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joanne and Brendon Rovan of Fort Lauderdale, FL, brother Peter Tobash of Macungie, PA, sisters Rosemary Zerr of Greenville, PA and Linda Tobash of Ridgewood, NJ as well as 4 nephews, 2 nieces, and a great nephew and niece.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 85 Marsh Dr., Carlisle. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, North Middleton Twp. In lieu of flowers, please have a Mass said for Ed. www.EwingBrothers.com.
