Edward Lee Kennedy, 83, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at his home. He was born on December 14, 1942, in Greason, Cumberland County, and was a son of the late Joseph Kennedy and Mary (Mixell) Kennedy.

Ed worked for 40 plus years with B & W Quality Growers and retired as a foreman. Ed enjoyed watching television, especially cowboy movies. He loved the Redskins football team.

He is survived by his wife of more than 60 years Ruth Ann “Rudy” (Ford) Kennedy, four children, Judy (husband Ed) Ford of Florida, Steven (wife Brandy) Kennedy of Shippensburg, Linda Kennedy of Carlisle and Karen (husband Stephen) McClintock of Carlisle, two sisters Frances Bass of Carlisle, and Nancy Ford of Enola, 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Leroy, Joseph and John Kennedy and two sisters Betsy Shearer and Shirley Kennedy.
