Obituary

Earl C. "Crick" Hodge, 73, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at UPMC Carlisle.  He was born on October 8, 1946 in Carlisle and was a son of the late Taylor A. Hodge, Sr. and F. Patricia (Brown) Hodge.

Crick graduated from Carlisle High School with the Class of 1964.  He retired after 33 years of service as a molder with C. H. Masland & Sons, Carlisle.  Crick was a member of Sons of the American Legion Auxiliary of the Haines-Stackfield Post 826, Carlisle.  Crick was a 3 rd Degree Black Belt and was affiliated with the Isshinryu Black Dragons, Carlisle.  He enjoyed fishing and was an avid Notre Dame football fan.  He formerly attended Bethel A.M.E. Church, Carlisle.

He is survived by one sister, Faye C. Hodge of Carlisle, one aunt, Ruth Hodge of Carlisle and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by two brothers; Taylor A. Hodge, Jr. and Emory D. Hodge and one sister, Sandra Hodge Bell.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 17, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle followed by a private family burial in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Visit www.EwingBrothers.com to send condolences.
