Dru A. Hewitt, 54, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at UPMC-Carlisle.  She was born on January 23, 1965 in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Andrew George Knizner and Mary Frances (Group) Knizner.

Dru graduated from Carlisle High School with the Class of 1983 and earned her Associate degree from Thompson Institute, Harrisburg.  She worked many years with Legal Services in Carlisle and most recently had been employed with Campus Door in Carlisle.  Dru was an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Richard L. Hewitt, Jr., one sister, Sally Jones of Carlisle and several nieces and nephews.  Dru was predeceased by one son, Travis L. Hewitt who passed away on Dec. 2, 2011.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019 followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Pastor Ryan Brown officiating.  Burial will be private.
