Dorris M. (Richwine) Rhoads, 95, of Carlisle, died on Saturday, 23 November 2019 at Chapel Pointe, Carlisle.  She was born on January 29, 1924 in Cumberland County and was a daughter of the late Ralph M. Richwine, Sr. and Mabel E. (Yost) Richwine, and was the widow of Clark A. Rhoads, Sr. who died July 1, 1997.

Dorris graduated in 1941 from Carlisle High School.  She was a loving homemaker and had worked as a finisher for 24 years with the former Piezo Crystal Co., Carlisle.  Dorris was a long-time member of the Dickinson Presbyterian Church, Carlisle.

She is survived by three sons; Clark A. (wife, Sharon) Rhoads, Jr. and Roy W. (wife, Ruby) Rhoads both of Newville and Gary L. (wife, Sharon) Rhoads of Carlisle, three brothers; Ralph M. Richwine, Jr., Lee Y. Richwine and Donn H. Richwine, two sisters; Janet L. Thrush and Flo E. Keck, three granddaughters; Raquel, Carrie and Laura, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Dorris was preceded in death by three brothers; Earle, Jay and Paul Richwine, two sisters; June Gutshall and Lois Wagner and one granddaughter, Renee Rhoads.

A visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Pastor Neal A.
