Dorothy Louise Weary, 83, of Carlisle passed away on Friday August 9, 2024 at UPMC Memorial in York, PA. She was born November 11, 1940, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late John N. Wolf and Julia C. (Kohler) Wolf.

Dorothy was a graduate of Big Spring High School with the class of 1958. She worked at Carlisle Tire and Rubber, Daily Express, and retired from National Cash Register. She was a member of Carlisle United Methodist Church, AARP #4377, and a former Girl Scout leader.

She loved spending time with her daughter and son in-law, traveling, going to the shore, camping, movies, dancing, and making flower arrangements.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Christy (her husband Jeff) Daley. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years Jack R. Weary, and her siblings, Betty V. Wevodau, Geneva C. Long, Virginia M. Wolf, John N. Wolf Jr., Richard A. Wolf, Lester R. Wolf, and Frank J. Wolf.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2024 in the Ewing Brothers Funeral home, 630 S. Hanover St. Carlisle. A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The burial will be at Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
