Obituary
Dorothy Jeanne Sweet, 86, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at the Chapel Pointe Health Center, Carlisle. She was born on Wednesday, August 27, 1924, in Polo, IL, a daughter of the late Arthur L. Sweet and Lena (Brockwell) Sweet.
Jeanne served in the United States Marines Corps and was a veteran of the Korean War. She held bachelor degrees in Christian Education and Education. Jeanne was a former school teacher and retired as Director of Housekeeping and Laundry with the Peralta Hospital in Oakland, CA. She was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship in Nazareth, PA.
She is survived by several extended family members.
Services and burial will be private. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of arrangements.
