Dorothy L. "Dottie" Shotto, 94, of Plainfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Thornwald Home in Carlisle.  She was born on July 7, 1928, in Scranton and was a daughter of the late William and Dorothy Bellen and the widow of Donald Shotto who died in 1983.

Dottie graduated in 1946 from Technical High School in Scranton.  She worked many years at the US Army Recruiting Battalion in New Cumberland.  Dottie also worked for the Children & Youth Services in Carlisle and Letort View Community Center at the Carlisle Barracks.  Dottie was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Carlisle.

She is survived by one daughter Patricia (husband Earl) Thumma, three sons, James (wife Cindy), Donald (wife Robin) and Robert (wife Susan) Shotto, 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one grandson Donald David Thumma and one brother William Bellen.

Services and burial will be private at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle with Rev. Javed Kashif as the officiant.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
