Dorothy Mae Failor, 87, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at UPMC Carlisle.  She was born on April 13, 1935, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Elsie Mae (Miller) Chestnut and Earl Chestnut.  She was the widow of Ronald B. Failor.

Dorothy retired after many years of service with Dickinson College where worked in the housekeeping department.  She also worked at the Newville U-Wanna-Wash Frocks Dress Factory.  Dorothy enjoyed her many cats she had throughout her life.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah K. (husband Larry) Kelley of Carlisle, one brother James Chestnut and three grandchildren, Jeremy (wife Sharon) Smith, Jason (wife Desiree) Smith and April (husband Shane) Wildasin.  She was preceded in death by one son-in-law Richard Smith, one sister Mary Chestnut and two brothers, John and George Chestnut.
