Dorothy was a 1927 graduate of Carlisle High School. She was a loving homemaker and worked as a seamstress in her home. She was a longtime member of First United Church of Christ, Carlisle. Dorothy enjoyed flower gardening.

She is survived by one daughter, Annette M. Braught of New Cumberland, three grandchildren; Debra Hershey of Wormleysburg, David Hefflefinger (and wife, Wendy) of Hummelstown and Darryl Hefflefinger (and wife, Jill) of Warwick, RI, four great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 1 p.m. in Westminster Memorial Gardens, 1159 Newville Rd., Carlisle, with Rev. Lynn R. Schultz officiating.
