Dorothy A. Beam, 85, of Landisburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born on January 8, 1939, in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late Raymond Barrick and Evelyn (Knouse) Barrick. Dorothy was the loving wife of Donald Beam for the last 68 years.

Dorothy attended Cumberland Valley High School.  She was a member of the former Triumph Church of God, Carlisle.

She is survived by her Daughter Denise K. Harrington (her husband Marshall) of Shermansdale, her three grandchildren, Jeremy Smiley (his wife Grace) of Rochester, NH, Alex Smiley (his wife Jen) of Duncannon, Skyla Loy of Harrisburg, and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister Elva Fleisher (her husband Fred) of Clearfield.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter and son in-law Debra Smiley and Rodger Smiley, another daughter Donna Beam, a son David Beam, her brother Ed Barrick, and her sister Nancy Montgomery.

A graveside service will be held at Westminster Cemetery in Carlisle, on Saturday, October 26th, 2024, at 12 noon.
