Doris Jean Finkenbinder Nickel, 87, of Carlisle passed away on Saturday March 9, 2024. She was born April 28, 1936, and was a daughter to the late John E. and Edna Jane (Baughman) Finkenbinder of Bloserville.  She was married to the late Robert Nickel.

Doris worked at the Carlisle Garment Factory and Allen Distribution in Carlisle as a housekeeper. In her early years she attended St. James Lutheran church.

She is survived by her loving daughter Bonnie J. Wagner, son Donald Wagner (who was her care giver), one granddaughter Chastity (Dennis) Balocik of Florida, her sister Shirley Heishman, two brothers, Jay (Joyce) Finkenbinder and Roy Finkenbinder.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Peggy Barclay of Newville, two brothers, Glenn and Lee Finkenbinder, five sisters, Mildred Bistline, June Baum, Marie Zeigler, Ruth Armolt, and Ethel Chestnut.
