Donna L. Hill

Donna L. Hill, 85, of Newville, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at UPMC Carlisle. She was born on December 14, 1940, in Carlisle, to the late George B. Wickard and Ethel (Kamerer) Wickard and was the widow of Larry L. Hill, who died February 10, 2002.

Donna graduated from Big Spring High School and received her LPN degree from the Carlisle Hospital Nursing program. Donna retired from the Carlisle Hospital where she was an LPN for 45 years. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Newville.

She is survived by her daughter Michelle L. Hill of Newville, one brother George (wife, Juniata) Wickard of Newville, one sister-in-law Barbara Wickard of Newville and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Donna was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Wickard.

A visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2026, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 210 Brick Church Road, Newville, PA 1724. Rev. Dona Cummings will officiate the service. The burial will follow at Brick Church Cemetery, Newville. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to the Michael J.
