Donald Lewis Rinehart, Jr., 52, of Newville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at UPMC-Pinnacle Carlisle. He was born on March 20, 1965 in Carlisle, and was the son of the late Donald L. Rinehart, Sr. and Gloria Jean (Reinhart) Rinehart.

Donny was a 1984 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School. He was a member of Carlisle Church of God and where he played guitar as a part of the music team. He was currently employed with D.H.L. in Mechanicsburg and had worked at several Carlisle area businesses, including, the former G.S. Electric Co., the Driver's License Center and Exel. Donny was a member of the Carlisle YMCA, the NRA and was a Plexus Ambassador.

He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 23 years, Donna Kay (Ulsh) Rinehart, one daughter, Rebecca Rinehart at home, one sister, Jennie (husband, Mickey) Peterman of Carlisle and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Carlisle Church of God, 458 N. College St, Carlisle, with Rev. Timothy McCauslin and Rev. Christopher Faylor officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to his church.
