Donald H. Kutz, 88, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 1, 2025. He is now a member of the Lord's choir in Heaven. Don was born March 3, 1937. He is predeceased by his parents Myrtle B. and Henry W. Kutz and his 5 sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary Louise of 66 years, his daughter Brenda Burkholder (Kirby) and son Daniel Kutz (Shirley) and 5 grandchildren Kirby D. Burkholder (Arianna), Daniel Kutz (Kristin), Brandon Burkholder (Rachel), Sara Moore (Nick), Matt Kutz (Kelli) and 2 great grandchildren; Madeline Kutz and Josie Beth Moore.
Don was a graduate of Hellertown High School and Lehigh University with a Bachelor's degree in chemistry. He retired after 36 years in upper management from Amp Inc.
Don and Mary Louise spent many winters in Myrtle Beach where Don enjoyed golfing. He and Mary Louise enjoyed many trips to Europe where he videotaped their vacations. He sang twice on two vacation cruises. They both loved their grandchildren very much and when the children were growing up, they had the "grandchildren vacation" for a week every summer.
Don was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church for over 60 years. He was very active serving in multiple capacities as Senior Warden, Vestry, the choir, Finance Committee and a Eucharistic Minister assisting in communion. He also chaired the annual stewardship campaign.
Don will be greatly missed by all for his loving and kind nature. Service of Christian inurnment will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 1a N Hanover St, PO Box 612, Carlisle, PA 17013. Reverend Melissa Wilcox will be the officiant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be given to St. John's Episcopal Church or The Alzheimer's Association. www.EwingBrothers.com
