Donald E. Jackson, 88, of Newville, died on Monday, June 26, 2023, at home.  He was born on December 6, 1934, in Carlisle and was a son of the late Robert C. Jackson and Pearl E. (Piper) Jackson.

Don was a US Army veteran and served from 1957 to 1959.  He was a longtime driver for Hempt Brothers Inc., Camp Hill and retired after nearly 40 years of service.  Don was a member of Center Lutheran Church in Newville.

He is survived by two nephews, Gary Jackson of Lebanon and Douglas Jackson of Harrisburg.  He was preceded in death by one brother Richard L. Jackson and his wife Sara Jackson.
