Donald W. DeWalt, Jr., 79, of Boiling Springs, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at his home.  He was born on November 13, 1943, in Carlisle and was a son of the late Donald W. DeWalt, Sr. and Nora DeWalt.

Don graduated from Boiling Spring High School with the class of 1961 where he played in the band, track and football. He attended business school.  Don was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was proud to be a Navy Seal and went on to Jump School and was trained in underwater demolition.  Don sold mobile homes for most of his life and owned and operated "Perry County Homes" until his retirement.  He formerly attended St. John's Episcopal Church in Carlisle.  Don loved to sing and entertain and had a heart of gold.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years Jacqueline (Taylor) DeWalt, two sons, Drew and his wife Rose DeWalt and their children, Mikaela, Brayden and Erika, and Lance and his husband Quoc Nguyen and their children, Logan and Serenity.  Don was loved by several nieces, nephews and dear friends.  Don was preceded in death by his first wife Sandra E. (Erickson) DeWalt who passed away on March 24, 1987, and one grandson Bradley DeWalt.

A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with The Rev. Adam Kradel as the officiant.  Interment will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.  A time of fellowship will follow the interment service.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
