Donald E. Boettger, Jr., 69, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.  He was born on July 29, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio and was a son of the late Donald E. Boettger, Sr. and Maud (Unger) Boettger.

Don graduated in 1973 from Riverside High School in Painesville, OH.  Don was a Big-Rig truck driver most of his life.  He worked independently and for several transportation companies throughout his career.  He was of Methodist faith.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years Charlotte A. (Lackey) Boettger, two daughters, Amanda (Eric) Miller of Climax, NY and Ashley (Jason) Yeager of Ft. Loudon, PA, three sisters, Carolyn Nakashige, Nancy Boettger and Jeanne Eckhoff, four grandchildren, McKenna Fitzpatrick, Gavin Miller, Aaron Yeager and Logan Yeager and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle.  Don's lifelong friend, Bobby Yowell, will be honoring him by delivering the service.  The burial will be in Ashland Cemetery, Carlisle.  Memorial contributions may be made to Donate Life America,  https://donatelife.net/www  www.Since1853.com.
