Dolores J. “Rene” Hostetter, 90, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at The Residence at Carlisle. She was born on August 26, 1936, at home in South Middleton Township to the late Myrl Rynard and Florence (Thumma) Rynard. She was the widow of Dale Allen Rynard (1994).

Dolores Graduated with the class of 1954 from Boiling Springs High School. She spent many years working in many different positions at C.H. Masland & Sons. She enjoyed going to Penn National and watching the horse races, she loved to play poker with her family, and board games with friends and family.

She is survived by two sons, Allen Hostetter and Matt Hostetter, two grandsons, Caleb Hostetter and Colby Hostetter, four granddaughters, Cheyene Stambaugh, Virginia Hostetter, Casie Hostetter, and Chloe Hostetter, six great grandchildren, her brother Donald Rynard, her sister Shirl Morrison and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Mark Hostetter, five brothers, Myrl Rynard, Leslie “Ben” Rynard, Ronald “Jay” Rynard, Norman “Lefty” Rynard, and Russ Rynard, and her sister Joyce Heberlig.

A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St. Carlisle with Pastor Matt Plant officiating.
