Obituary

Dianne L. Kiner, 72, of Gardners, died on Sunday, January 20, 2013, at Sarah A. Todd Memorial Home, Carlisle. She was born on Sunday, March 17, 1940, in Carlisle, a daughter of the late Clarence A. and Alda V. (Prowell) Stough and was the widow of Clyde S. Kiner, who died January 22, 1988.

She retired after 20 years of service from the former Lear Corporation in Carlisle. She also worked part-time in the cafeteria at Rice Elementary School in South Middleton School District. Dianne earned her G.E.D. from Carlisle High School at the age of 52. She enjoyed making quilts and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Uriah United Methodist Church in Gardners. Dianne was a loving mother and dedicated wife, who will be deeply missed by her family.

Dianne is survived by her three sons; Alan L. Kiner (and his wife, Amy), Lincoln Kiner (and his wife, Kelly) and Clinton S. Kiner, her daughter, Judy Kiner-Smith (and her husband, Warren), all of Gardners, her brother, David Stough of Carlisle, her sister, Nancy Driscoll of Gardners, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Kiner in 1975, six brothers; Amos, Richard, Clarence, Donald, Glenn and Lloyd Stough and three sisters; Beatrice Clever, Reba McBride and Jeanne Stough.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. Rev. Jeff Canacamp and Rev. Kevin Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of the services at the funeral home.
