Derek T. Morrison, 47, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at home with his family by his side. He was born on August 15, 1978, in Camp Hill to Michelle (Schoppy) Lupfer and the late David W. Morrison Jr. He was the devoted husband of Megan Morrison for the last six years.

Derek graduated from West Perry High School with the class of 1997. He went on to further his education at George Mason University and Shippensburg University. He spent over ten years working for Faulkner Automotive and most recently was the finance manager for Lawrence Chevrolet. Baseball was one of Derek’s greatest passions. From proudly playing for the West Perry Mustangs, to earning a Division I scholarship to George Mason University, to cheering on his beloved San Francisco Giants, the game was woven into the fabric of his life. It was a love he carried with pride and one that will live on through the memories he created and the stories that will continue to be shared.

In addition to his wife Megan, he is survived by his son Baylor Morrison of Mechanicsburg, daughter Alivia Morrison of Jacksonville, FL, parents Michelle and Tim Lupfer of Shermans Dale, brother Matthew (his wife Julia) Morrison of Halifax, and five nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Brandon Morrison.

A viewing will take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, followed by a private burial in Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Shermans Dale. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Derek’s name to Hospice of Central Pa 1320 Linglestown Rd. Harrisburg, PA 17110.
