Dennis R. Sheriff, 70, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at home with family by his side.  He was born on June 30, 1955, in Carlisle and was a son of the late Wayne B. Sheriff, Sr. and Ada I. (Gusler) Sheriff.

Denny graduated from Carlisle High School in 1975.  He worked for John Walters Excavating in Newville, more than 10 years with Carlisle Syntec and many years in construction and with Walsh Landscaping and Mowing Service, Carlisle.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Cathy M. (Flenner) Sheriff, one daughter Jennie R. (husband Christian) Fralish of Mechanicsburg, two brothers, Wayne Sheriff, Jr. and Larry Sheriff, one granddaughter Freyja Fralish, two step-grandchildren, John Fralish and Kennedy Fralish and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a time of sharing memories from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle.  Burial will be private.  Contributions towards the service can be sent to the Sheriff family at 76 Joseph Junkin Lane, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.  www.EwingBrothers.com.
