Delbert B. Minnier, 78, of Newville, passed away at home on Friday, October 9, 2026. He was born on November 4, 1948, in Lewistown and was the son of the late Wilson Guy Minnier and Fae (Kline) Minnier Schilling.

Delbert graduated from Chief Logan High School in 1968 and soon thereafter joined the U. S. Army. He served during the Vietnam Era and was honorably discharged in 1972. He retired after many years of service with Carlisle Syntec. He was a member of Carlisle Alliance Church and was an avid antiquer.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Barbara M. (Lashley) Minnier, one son Delbert Bruce Minnier, II of Newville and one daughter Erin (husband Vince) South of Middleburg, one sister Sandra Miller of Perry County, two grandchildren, Valerie and Patrick South and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. in the Carlisle Alliance Church, 237 E. North St., Carlisle, PA 17013 with Pastor David Monreal officiating. The burial with military honors by Cumberland County Honor Guard will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
